Critical Infrastructure Protection - Capability Development

GH was extensively involved in the conceptualisation, creation and development of a government organisation responsible for protecting the critical infrastructure of a Middle Eastern country. GH advised its leadership, functional experts, and support staff to address key risk management issues in maturing the organisation.

Key Accomplishments and Deliverables

  • GH conducted extensive Security Vulnerability Assessments of the critical infrastructure sites under the client’s jurisdiction—which included all of their offshore oil and gas installations.  As part of its maritime involvement, GH also assessed compliance with the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code of all ports.
  • GH led the development and implementation of a five-year strategic risk management plan based on the American Petroleum Institute risk methodology for the agency.
  • Adopting GH’s knowledge transfer approach, diverse and highly skilled consultants were embedded throughout the client agency to teach, coach and mentor staff by working alongside them.

Results

GH contributed to the strategic alignment of a newly formed government organisation as it matured, transitioned, and adopted its growing mission portfolio for protecting critical infrastructure.
